  The Berger's from Landau

There were two Berger families that lived in the Beresan District of Odessa. Both had

arrived there in 1809 and originated from Alsace. The "Goersdorf Berger's" settled in the

village of Speier and the "Climbach Berger's" settled in the village of Landau. Although

Goersdorf and Climbach are village communities close to one another in Alsace, we have

so far never been able to link the two families.

There have however been marriages between the two families since 1809.

For those people researching the Climbach Berger's, also known as the Landau Berger's,

below is a link to a website that I am sure you will find very informative. It was sent to me

by Nicole Berger, Granddaughter of Leo Berger and Helen Obrige and the Great

Granddaughter of Raphael Berger and Mathilda Lantz.

Note: Apologies that the Berger's from Climbach site is currently unavailable.
