The Berger Family Book "They Dared to Dream"
I have just finished writing a book telling the story of our ancestors travels. Our journey begins in Goersdorf, Alsace Lorraine, France. It continues through to the Rhinepfalz district of Bavaria in Germany, on to the Beresan region of South Russia, then to the Dakotas in North America, and finally to Canada. The book covers the generations and years from 1700 to the present time.
The book tells the story of a journey of hope and love, joy and sorrow. A journey of sacrifice, hard work and disappointments. A journey that took me to faraway places to meet new people, relatives and friends. It has been an intimate journey, a journey where some of the things that I discovered have been hard to put into words and sometimes, hard to express. This journey has been the path of our lives. The path leads to a better understanding of who we are and the price that was paid for us to be where we are today and to have the things that we sometimes take for granted.

I also have many documents from the Church of the Latter Day Saints. These documents along with many others can be viewed on my Documents page on this site. There you will find a treasure trove of information relating to the Berger family. Birth, Baptism, Marriage and Death records are there in abundance, also, Notary Records from Woerth, Goersdorf and Weiler. You will also discover the Will of Jacob Bürger which was decided by the Justices in Wissembourg on the 11th of July, 1765. This decision took two and a half days to reach.
If I can be of any assistance to you or your family, please ask. Brian
